How to Keep Your Brain Young

Do you feel like you do what needs to be done to keep your organs feeling young and
healthy? When most people want a body that appears young and healthy, they do
things like go on diets and go to the gym, but could there be some areas that youíre
forgetting? The human brain is another organ that requires care so that it can heal itself
and replace cells, but what kinds of things are those? This article will share information
on how to keep your brain young.
Control Your Blood Sugar
Over the years, researchers have made several in depth studies of certain systems in
the body, and one of the very revealing bits of information to come of these studies is
the effect that blood sugar can play in cognitive functions. In diabetes and other studies,
one thing that was commonly seen was a noticeable decrease in the cognitive abilities
of people who had diabetes or were coming close to having diabetes. This was usually
marked by major peaks and valleys related to their blood sugar, so once they found
ways to prevent major blood sugar fluctuations, their cognitive abilities were closer to
normal.
Fix your cholesterol
Low Density Lipoproteins or bad cholesterol as they called by many are well known for
their destructive effects on the heart, but if youíre one of those people where that isnít
as big of any issue, youíre still not out of the woods yet. LDL cholesterol is just free-
floating fat in your bloodstream, and itís that kind of fat is allowed to build up in your
circulatory system, they those little sticky blockages can reach your brain and cause
strokes. It doesn’t take very much to do that in the tiny capillaries that lead to the
deepest and most intricate parts of your brain.
Learn to Control Your Emotions
How you feel emotionally can be a huge help or damage to your physical body. There
are a lot of people who are addicted to feeling s of outrage, and indignance out there,
but you will find that many people who are consistently negative usually start to
experience health problems earlier than other calmer people. Do your best to work on
you attitude and practice gratefulness. Focus on the positive and leave the past in the
past. Learn from the past, but donít dwell on things you canít control or change at all.
